The Metabolome Life
A Nutritional Philosophy for a Long Healthy Life
by Building a Healthy Microbiome
us
What is The Microbiome?
The food we eat not only feeds us, it feeds the trillions of organisms (bacteria, fungi, viruses) that inhabit our GI Tracts. They are called the Microbiota and their genes are called the Microbiome. They make good things for us. The liquid in which they exist in our guts is called the Metabolome. We need a healthy Metabolome in order to maximize our health.
What do we feed our Microbiome?
The Microbiota live off the food we cannot absorb, the fiber we eat. They ferment this fiber into compounds that can be very essential for our health. These compounds become the Metabolome.
How do you know you are eating the right kind and amount of fiber?
We have developed a device, an e-nose, that just sits in your bathroom and passively and continuously monitors your fiber intake from the smell of your bowel movement. This enables our culinary coaching to help you keep your metabolome and YOU healthy.
